Where did fall go?

We seem to have run straight from summer, back into spring, so do it appears with our recent weather. Where are our nice fall days to go out and view the leaves. We’ve had just over 3 inches of rain this month according to my weather station and it’s only the 6th day of the month.
What would you have normally been doing this time of year? Out picking apples, taking a fall leaves tour with your camera?
Let me know what you’d normally do if it wasn’t raining cats n dogs. I should be out in the garage building an ark, but the garage is kinda full right now with other projects!
I despise fall, especially when it’s like this. Unfortunately it’s been like this more often than not since I moved here. My wife enjoys the fall activities so I guess I’d be doing the apple and pumpkin thing while hating every minute.
